Welcome to Angel Buzz, the Gathering with the Angels Blog, providing angelic messages with practical application.

Anyone who endured the past winter in New England will tell you that the change of season is particularly welcomed this spring.  The improved weather and increased sunlight clears our minds and raises our spirits.  However, many people are still laboring under a financial winter of sorts, concerned and downright fearful of their "stock and store" and whether or not there will be enough to meet their needs.  With that in mind, I am enclosing a Prosperity Prayer which I shared in a recent guided meditation/angelic invocation class with the intention of calling prosperity into our lives.  I recommend saying the prayer for ten days, not in a state of fear or worry, but with the firm belief that no matter what happens, we will be able to weather the ill winds of financial challenge, without losing ourselves in the process and with the knowledge that we are eternally supported by Divine grace.

God, Divine One, Creator, Source of Infinite Creation,

I call upon You and the Angels and Archangels to manifest prosperity and the abundance of all good things into my life now.  I believe in the unlimited energy of the Universe and, with your help, I call this creative energy into my life.  May this prosperity allow me to live my soul's purpose fully, glorify your creation, and be a blessing to all.  I resolve, fully and completely, to remove the spirit of lack from my thoughts and behaviors and commit to living in prosperity, kindness and peace.

Amen. So Be It.  So It Is.

Anyone who has visited Central Park, or seen a production of “Angels in America,” has surely seen the Bethesda Fountain. It is a magnificent fountain topped by an exquisite angel captured in a purposeful stride at the pinnacle of the sculpture and reaching out to bless or “trouble the water” below.   The fountain and angel actually reference a passage from the Gospels of John in the New Testament. “There was in Jerusalem a pool called Bethesda. An angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool and troubled the water. Whoever stepped in first was healed of whatever disease he had.” Given the possibility of a healing taking place, many disabled and infirm people would gather or be placed there with the hope of receiving a cure, and, indeed, this place becomes the setting for Jesus to perform one of His numerous miracles in John’s Gospel.
A lovely symbol and inspiring story, but additionally significant is what Thornton Wilder did with this image. It is not a work for which he is well-known but in his play, “The Angel that Troubled the Waters” he places a character known as the Physician at the pool hoping to be the first to enter it and be healed of his mental anguish. It is a brokenness of which no one else is aware due to his status and skill in his community but he is a tormented soul nonetheless. And as he approaches the water, the angel who has come to “trouble the water” blocks his way to be healed. The Physician already in anguish appeals to the angel to let him pass and receive his healing. “Draw back, Physician, this moment is not for you,” the Angel says. The Physician entreats the Angel to use heavenly eyes to see his hidden torment and “not be deceived by my apparent wholeness.” And as they continue their discourse on the water’s edge, the Angel says, “Without your wound where would your power be?”
This is a startling question. Perhaps we need to ask the same question of ourselves. There is presumed within the question awareness of our wounds and a willingness to heal them. Without our wounds, where would our power be? However, without tending to them, our wounds cannot empower us but, rather, will have power over us. We all have wounds that we have hopefully attempted to address either through standard therapeutic methods, medical intervention or spiritual pursuits or perhaps a combination of all three. It matters not whether the wounds are physical, psychic or both; they cause suffering.
Denying our wounds only makes them worse and tends to have negative fallout in our relationships as well. Neither we nor our purpose are served by denial of these wounds. We must face our sorrows, our grief, our wounds and heal them, or allow them to be healed with whatever intervention we deem necessary, to the extent we can. And this task, no matter what method we use, is best done in the light of Divine grace.
The broken, seemingly unlovable parts of ourselves that continue to impede, punish or bruise us cannot hold positive power for us unless we love and accept them as parts of ourselves. It is through this process that our pain and suffering, through grace and light, can empower us to serve others. As we fold these unpleasant but authentic parts of ourselves into who we truly are without shame or condemnation, we become empowered by our wounds and can help and heal others. Our empathy quotient having been increased, we can be of even more value to others.
The angels say, “Dear Ones,
Do not curse but bless those wounds you carry. And ask the Creator for the knowledge and grace to accept unconditionally these parts of your human experience, and begin to heal, for your best whole self is what is desired for you. Whether it's struggle with past transgressions, physical illness or mental torment, each event is an important part of you and your journey, and we are here travelling with you each step of the way. Know, accept, be healed and serve. You can assist another because you have walked through this same valley of darkness. Come to view yourself as your Creator does, complete, whole, wonderful, wounds and all. "

If you’re an Ascended Master, look elsewhere, great one. You have no need for the messages found here. However, if you are having occasional difficulties with your humanness, read on…

Taking an honest look at where we are now in the still-somewhat-newly-minted year, it’s easy to look at the intentions we set back on the cusp of the New Year and find ourselves wanting in the accomplishment department. Before bruising yourself into a discouraged pulp, I would ask you to consider the following:

The news is in and you’re human. And while you are infused with a spirit that contains the Divine, you are part of the human experience and, therefore, imperfect. You’re a member of a large club. Welcome, you wonderful, unique concoction of mind, body and spirit, confusion, clarity, accomplishment and challenge! There is plenty of room for you, your name tag is ready, a comfortable chair awaits and a cup of whatever suits you has been poured.  Welcome!

Stop beating yourself up! The world will be only too happy to do this for you if you let it, and that includes those who purport to be enlightened or spiritual.

The world arrives at our door in many forms and it will tell us we’re failures in our feelings and finances, that we’re driving the wrong vehicle, laboring at a losing job, living in the wrong house or living the wrong life, that we’re too old or too young, too uninformed, too fat or too thin to be acceptable. If only we had a lifestyle, the right accessories, the right credentials or a BMW, we would know we are accomplished.  The spiritual community may observe that you’re living in your ego, not detached enough from worldly concerns, not viewing your responsibilities in a cheerful enough way, the cause of your own illness or unhappiness by your faulty thinking. If only you were more enlightened, you poor thing, then all would be well with you. All of this, no matter the source, is loaded with judgment and condemnation. Certainly, none of it comes from the Source of light and love.

Stop wherever you are in your life, seeking a new path and not knowing where to go, overwhelmed with present responsibilities and old wounds, wanting more of anything or desiring to be rid of everything, craving connection to a better mate, a mate at all, a few sacred moments alone, thinner thighs or a heftier portfolio, enlightenment, nirvana, ascension– whatever it is you’re longing to attain that you believe will somehow make you better - stop in this moment, take a deep breath and just love and accept who you are right now. Just exactly as you are. Love yourself, child of God, for that’s what you are: a child of the Creator of the Universe. From this moment, you can achieve anything.

You were created for a specific purpose and, even though it may be completely unknown to you at this second, there is a reason why you’re on the planet, laboring and learning at this time and place and in the midst of whatever dance you may find yourself.  When you are completely focused on the acquisition of something in the future, you miss truly enjoying your life in the present. And while you may be experiencing painful events - and no, it is not your failing if you are, but rather your humanness - there is still great beauty you may miss while mired in present challenges.

The angels say, “Dear One, know before you know anything else, before you have another thought, concern or worry, that you are loved. Every time you think a thought of self-loathing or even discontent about yourself, you are rejecting a portion of yourself that may be just the essential element to the fulfillment of your assigned tasks on the planet.

You have no idea how powerful your presence is in any given moment to a fellow traveler – a smile given to someone desperate for connection, a seemingly tiny act of kindness, a soft word or glance that saves someone from despair. You need also to be aware of the power of a carelessly tossed word and how devastating it can be to a fellow traveler. Make amends, ask for forgiveness and move forward. If the forgiveness is not granted, bless that one away from you with no resentment or guilt. It is then your Creator’s job to bind that wound.

We support you to review and amend aspects of yourself frequently, for we know that you humans are inclined toward this activity, but do it lovingly and without condemnation. Despite your past, despite how others have treated you, despite your rejection of yourself, you are loved, whoever and whatever you are. And this is your job - to love yourself and others. This is the mandate, dear one, and you are up to the challenge. Come just as you are, wrong job, no job, thin, fat, young, old, successful or not, enlightened or stumbling in the darkness. All of those things are human measures and must not obscure the glow of your true spirit.  You are already loved beyond measure, so pass it on, dear sweet, unique one! We who travel the universe can assure you that there is no one exactly like you. You needn't look any farther than the tips of your fingers for proof. Believe it. Believe in yourself. Ask us for help; we are here to assist you on your path. All is well with you.”

As for your intentions, affirm them anew, and set them as tiny boats upon the waters of hope and industry, lit by your spirit, protected by the angels, surrounded by grace. All will be well. In light and love.
